Job summary
Thiess is seeking a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team on a 14/7 roster, delivering servicing, repairs and maintenance of mobile fleet and equipment in a mining environment. You will source technical information, maintain housekeeping, provide guidance to staff and operations, and conduct inspections and estimations.
The role requires an Automotive Trade, post-trade mining experience, and knowledge of Toyota vehicles; a strong safety mindset is essential.
Qualifications
- Automotive Trade (Light Vehicle Mechanical) or relevant equivalent.
- Post-trade experience in Mining or Heavy Earth Moving.
- Experience in Vehicle Air Conditioning systems.
- Experience in servicing Toyota vehicles.
- Strong health and safety awareness.
Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and equipment as per Thiess documentation.
- Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component changes to a high standard.
- Source technical information from manuals, bulletins and OEM systems.
- Maintain good housekeeping at all times.
- Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
- Conduct technical inspections and job estimations.
