Job summary

Thiess at Caval Ridge in QLD is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to supervise a maintenance crew and ensure safe, efficient upkeep of a world-class mining fleet. You will support site performance and productivity while upholding Thiess' safety culture.

Work is on a 7/7 roster (days and nights). A Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle trade qualification with supervisory competencies is essential for this role. Opportunity for training and career growth is available.

Qualifications

• Must hold current G1, G8, G9 Supervisor Competencies and G2.
• Experience supervising maintenance on an operational mine site.
• Experience with Caterpillar, Liebherr and Komatsu equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a maintenance crew safely and efficiently.
• Perform servicing, repairs, diagnostics and maintenance across major mining equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and manage parts; cover for Maintenance Supervisor when required.
