Job summary

Glencore Coal's Rolleston Open Cut in Central Queensland is seeking a seasoned Light Vehicle Mechanic to maintain light vehicles, medium trucks and mining support equipment. You will report to the Light Vehicle Workshop Supervisor and work as part of the Maintenance team to keep safety, availability and reliability at the site.

Key tasks include scheduled servicing, breakdown repair, data integrity in maintenance systems, and collaborating with colleagues to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a light/medium mechanic required.
• Experience with 4WD light vehicles, medium rigid trucks, and Ag tractors.
• Familiar with mining environment and coal industry would be advantageous.
• Safety-focused mindset with ability to contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Schedule servicing and breakdown maintenance of Light Vehicles, Medium Trucks and Ag Tractors.
• Maintain ancillary mining equipment including pit pumps, generators, trailers, and lighting plants.
• Ensure safety, availability, reliability and performance at the site.
• Maintain maintenance systems and data accuracy.
• Work collaboratively in a team to meet production targets.
• Identify hazards and uphold health, safety and environment standards.
• Support Rolleston culture and drive continuous improvement.
