Job summary

Thiess is seeking a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team on a 14/7 roster. You will service, repair and maintain mobile fleet and equipment, delivering high quality workmanship in a mining environment.

You should have Automotive Trade qualification, mining or heavy earth moving experience, and familiarity with Toyota servicing. Thiess offers permanent full-time employment, camp facilities, training and development, and salary sacrifice options.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification: Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanical or equivalent.
• Post-trade mining or heavy earth moving experience.
• Experience with vehicle air conditioning systems.
• Experience in servicing Toyota vehicles and general maintenance.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and equipment per Thiess systems.
• Carry out general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component changes to high standard.
• Source technical information from reference manuals, bulletins, OEMs and computer systems.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times.
• Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
• Conduct technical inspections and job estimations.
