Job summary

Journey Early Learning Caroline Springs is seeking a Creative and inspired Childcare Permanent Educator for a maternity leave contract from 2 November 2026 to 19 September 2027. You will lead age-appropriate programs, foster meaningful relationships with children and families, and contribute to a collaborative teaching environment in our modern 133-place centre.

Qualifications

• Must hold ACECQA recognised qualification (Cert3 or Diploma or higher).
• Experience leading and developing age-specific programs and routines.
• Current Working with Children Check and relevant First Aid qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high health and safety standards at all times.
• Facilitate learning experiences for your allocated group of children.
• Observe and evaluate children's strengths, interests and preferences.
• Design and implement activities within the developmental program.
• Collaborate with teaching team in an interactive learning environment.

About the role

This is a maternity leave contract opportunity from 2 November 2026 to 19 September 2027, working across 5 days, Monday to Friday, in the Toddlers Room.

As our new Childcare Permanent Educator, you will be responsible for the development and fostering of meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community. You will support and guide children’s learning, while developing your own career and knowledge within the childcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

About you

You are a creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with Educators, children, and families.

Key Skills And Requirements

• An ACECQA recognised Cert3, Diploma or higher
• Experience leading and developing age specific programs and routines
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
