Job summary

Moonee Valley City Council is seeking a Certificate III Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join the team at the Montgomery Park Children’s Centre in Moonee Ponds, VIC. The role is a permanent full-time position delivering high‑quality play-based learning for young children.

You will work within a supportive team, delivering engaging programs, documenting learning, and contributing to curriculum planning in line with the National Quality Framework.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of Child Safe Standards and the National Quality Framework.
• A genuine passion for early learning and child development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage responsibilities collaboratively within a room team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, play‑based learning programs tailored to children’s needs.
• Create warm, engaging interactions to support learning and wellbeing.
• Work with Child Safe Standards, NQF and approved curricula frameworks.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Document children’s learning and contribute to curriculum planning and delivery.
• This is a permanent full‑time position with stability and growth.
