Moonee Valley City Council is seeking qualified Certificate III educators to join our kindergarten services in 2027. Opportunities cover a range of rosters and include temporary contracts for 2027 across council-operated kindergartens. Applicants should be available to work Monday to Friday across Moonee Valley municipalities.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Child Safe Standards and approved early years learning frameworks.
• Experience in collaborative team‑teaching and rotating models.
• Commitment to child safety and professional boundaries.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Ability to create inclusive, safe learning environments.
• Maintain compliance: Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma requirements; Mandatory Reporting training.
• Completion of National Child Safety Training (Modules 1–4).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, safe and inclusive learning experiences for children.
• Support and participate in team teaching and rotating schedules.
• Monitor children’s wellbeing and safety, following supervision policies.
• Collaborate with Kindergarten Leaders and staff to implement programs.
• Maintain high documentation and communication with families and colleagues.
