Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District seeks a Medical Radiation Scientist – Diagnostic Radiographer Level 2 for permanent full-time work at Westmead Hospital. You will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging across a busy radiology service and contribute to patient-centred care in a dynamic hospital environment.

You’ll perform a broad range of examinations, maintain radiation safety, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in or completing Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography.
• Registration with AHPRA prior to commencement.
• NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14.
• Experience in general radiography including trauma, operating suite, mobile, dental and fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities

• Perform a diverse range of radiographic examinations including general, trauma, mobile, operating theatre, dental and fluoroscopy.
• Deliver accurate, timely imaging while maintaining radiation safety and patient identification requirements.
• Explain procedures clearly, reassure patients and adapt your approach to individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with radiographers, medical, nursing and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in a 24/7 rotating roster and on-call arrangements as required.
