Job summary

NSW Health's Westmead Hospital invites applications for a Medical Radiation Scientist (Diagnostic Radiographer Level 2). This permanent full-time role delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient-centred care across a busy radiology service.

You'll perform a diverse range of radiographic examinations, participate in a 24/7 roster, and work with multidisciplinary teams to support safe, timely imaging and ongoing service improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Degree in or currently completing degree in Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Perform a diverse range of radiographic examinations, including general, trauma, mobile, operating theatre, dental and fluoroscopy
• Deliver accurate, timely imaging while maintaining professional standards, radiation safety and patient identification requirements
• Explain procedures clearly, reassure patients and adapt your approach to their individual physical and emotional needs
• Work collaboratively with radiographers, medical, nursing and other multidisciplinary teams to support effective patient care
• Participate in a 24/7 rotating roster and on-call arrangements as required, while contributing to service quality, safety and improvement
