Job summary

Western Sydney Local Health District at Westmead Hospital in Sydney seeks a Medical Radiation Scientist – Diagnostic Radiography. This Permanent Full Time role offers a broad-based radiography experience within a high-volume tertiary hospital environment.

You will perform diverse examinations (general, trauma, mobile, theatre, dental, fluoroscopy) while upholding safety, accuracy, and patient care. AHPRA registration and NSW EPA IA14 licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent (current or near completion).
• Registration with AHPRA prior to commencement.
• Eligible for NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14.

Responsibilities

• Perform a diverse range of radiographic examinations including general, trauma, mobile, operating theatre, dental and fluoroscopy.
• Deliver accurate, timely imaging while maintaining professional standards, radiation safety and patient identification requirements.
• Explain procedures clearly, reassure patients and adapt your approach to individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with radiographers, medical, nursing and other teams to support patient care.
• Participate in a 24/7 rotating roster and on-call arrangements as required.
