Job summary

RC Construction in Darwin is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to support major Defence and Marine infrastructure projects. You will finish, cure and repair concrete to a high standard, working across FRP cycles with site teams to meet project milestones.

The role requires strong finishing skills, ability to read plans, operate EWPs safely and maintain strict safety and quality standards. This is a permanent full-time position on site in Darwin.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s licence required.
• Construction white card holders preferred.
• Demonstrated experience as a concrete finisher.
• Competent with EWPs and working at heights.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and detail.
• Reliable, self-motivated and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Carry out concrete finishing to achieve the required surface finish and quality standards.
• Screed, edge, trowel and finish concrete surfaces per project specs.
• Apply curing, sealing and concrete protection methods as required.
• Repair concrete defects to maintain quality outcomes.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings and specs accurately.
• Assist with reinforcing steel installation and concrete placement across FRP cycle.
• Work with site supervisors, engineers and teams to hit milestones.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow safety, environmental and quality requirements on Defence and Marine projects.
