Job summary

Newcastle Private Hospital, part of Healthscope, seeks experienced Scrub Scout Registered Nurses to join our perioperative team on a full-time basis, with possible part-time consideration for strong applicants. Flexible rostering supports career growth and work-life balance.

You will bring at least 3 years of perioperative RN experience with exposure to Neurosurgery, Vascular, Cardio-thoracic, General, Urology, Gynae, or Robotics cases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years RN experience in Scrub Scout / Perioperative Nursing.
• Perioperative experience in Neurosurgery, Vascular, Cardio-thoracic, General, Urology, Gynae or Robotics.
• Current Registration with AHPRA (no restrictions).
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care.
• Supervise and guide ENs and AINs to deliver patient care.
• Provide education to patients for recovery and rehabilitation.
• Lead quality improvement and safety projects to achieve outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care needs.
