Job summary

Nepean Private Hospital in Penrith, NSW is seeking experienced Scrub Scout Registered Nurses to join our perioperative team with full-time and part-time roles available.

Flexible rostering, supportive team and opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient care across orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal, urology, ENT and general surgery. Successful applicants will hold current Australian Registration (AHPRA) and WWCC, with 2 years RN Scrub Scout experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ RN experience in Scrub Scout Nursing with experience in Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Urology, ENT or general surgery.
• Authority to Work in Australia.
• Working with Children check.
• Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions).
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and team oriented.
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
• Lead quality improvement and safety projects to deliver outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice
