Newcastle Private Hospital, part of Healthscope Hospitals, is seeking experienced Scrub Scout Registered Nurses to join our perioperative team on a full-time basis, with part-time options for strong applicants. Flexible rostering supports work-life balance and career development within a supportive team.

Applicants must have at least 3 years in perioperative nursing, with exposure to Neurosurgery, Vascular, Cardio-thoracic, General, Urology, Gynae or Robotics cases.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years RN perioperative experience with scrub scout skills.
• Experience in Neurosurgery, Vascular, Cardio-thoracic, General, Urology, Gynae or Robotics.
• Current Authority to Work in Australia and AHPRA registration.
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent; NSW Working with Children check; postgraduate perioperative qualification preferred.

As a Perioperative Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout, your responsibilities may include:

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
• Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice
• A minimum of 3 years’ RN experience in Scrub Scout / Perioperative Nursing
• Proven perioperative experience in one or more specialties: Neurosurgery, Vascular, Cardio- thoracic, General, Urology, Gynae, Robotics
• Current Authority to Work in Australia
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Clinicalexpertiseand commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
• Hold a valid NSW Working with Children check for employment
• Hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $40.26-$56.54 per hour.
