Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking reliable Operations Assistants to join the Recovery Unit team at Northern Beaches Hospital. You will provide essential non-clinical support to facilitate safe, efficient perioperative operations, coordinating equipment, instruments, stock and supplies for surgery and recovery.

This permanent full-time role involves 38 hours per week with shifts including weekends on a rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
• Capacity to work with supervision or independently as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement of equipment, instruments, stock and supplies for surgical and recovery activities.
• Assist with theatre and recovery area set-up and turnover.
• Transport equipment and supplies and maintain stock levels.
• Support workflow between departments while ensuring infection prevention and safety standards.
