Job summary

NSW Health in Eurobodalla is seeking an Operations Assistant to support clinical teams in the operating theatres and day-to-day hospital operations. This permanent full-time role involves assisting during surgical services, general duties in wards, cleaning and patient or equipment portering across the facility.

You'll work on a rotating roster, interact with staff and the public, and follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings and providing general assistance.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication with staff and public.
• Team player who follows supervision and directions.
• Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Willing to work in a theatre environment around surgical procedures.
• Able to use a computer with a web-based ordering system.
• WHS knowledge and safe manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical team in operating theatres to promote smooth running of surgical services.
• Assist across the health service including wards, cleaning and portering.
• Support patient transfers or equipment movement around the facility.
