Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking an Operations Assistant to support surgical services and broader clinical operations at Eurobodalla Regional Hospital. The role emphasizes collaboration with the clinical team to ensure smooth theatre function and patient care, with opportunities to contribute across wards and support services.

The position is permanent full-time, starts March 2027, and offers duties across a developing hospital network on the NSW coast.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care setting or health/aged care roles.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication with staff and the public.
• Ability to work effectively as a team and take directions.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Willingness to work within a theatre environment.
• Ability to use a computer with a web-based ordering system.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety, especially manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Supports the clinical team in operating theatres to promote smooth running of surgical services.
• Provides assistance across the health service including wards, cleaning and portering for patient transfers or equipment.
