Job summary

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in Melbourne seeks an experienced HR Generalist to join our team on a 0.8FTE parental leave contract. This true generalist role supports staff across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, covering recruitment, onboarding, performance, employee relations, and policy development.

You will work closely with People Leaders and executives to enhance workplace culture, develop HR initiatives, and ensure compliant

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Australian and NZ employment laws.
• Experience in HR generalist or talent management.
• Proficient with HRIS, especially ELMO.
• Confidential handling of sensitive information.
• Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide generalist HR support across Australia and Aotearoa NZ.
• Advise managers on HR policies and best practices.
• Manage employee relations, performance, and investigations.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve engagement and retention.
• Maintain HR data in ELMO and prepare HR reports.
• Contribute to HR initiatives aligned with College goals.
• Support policy development and rollout.
• Provide training in People and Wellbeing programs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes.
