Job summary

Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) is seeking a People Team Coordinator to support the delivery of an exceptional employee experience across our organisation in Sydney. You’ll cover recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, reporting and learning and development, working closely with stakeholders across a diverse workforce.

You'll be highly organised, proactive and people-focused, with experience in HR or recruitment systems, and knowledge of Australian employment practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR, recruitment or people administration.
• The role requires familiarity with HRIS, ATS or other HR systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Knowledge of Australian employment practices.
• Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Respond to employee and manager enquiries and provide first-level HR support.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
• Coordinate recruitment activities including advertising, interview scheduling, candidate communication and pre-employment checks.
• Support onboarding and induction activities for new employees.
• Prepare employment contracts, variations and other employment documentation.
• Assist with reporting, compliance activities and HR administration.
• Support learning and development initiatives and People projects.
• Help drive continuous improvement across People processes and systems
