Job summary

Glen Eira Leisure invites applications for a People Development Support Officer to assist the People Development Team with recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, and workforce compliance. The role supports employee lifecycle activities and works across systems to keep people data accurate and up to date.

  • Experience in administration, recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, training or a similar environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and maintaining databases and records.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, Training or Learning and Development administration would be highly regarded.
  • Current CPR Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Staff Qualification Management: Maintain qualification records, monitor compliance and follow up expiring qualifications, police checks and Working with Children Checks.
  • Onboarding and Inductions: Support onboarding, inductions, offboarding and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Learning and Development: Assist with training administration, eLearning reporting and workforce development programs.
  • Document Management: Maintain employee records, databases and document management systems.
  • Training Coordination: Support the administration of licensed training programs and course bookings.
  • General Administration: Provide project and administrative support to the People Development Team, including reporting and coordination of the weekend management roster.

About The Role

As the People Development Support Officer, you will provide efficient and accurate administrative support to the People Development Team and broader Glen Eira Leisure department.

This is a critical administrative role supporting our workforce growth and development strategy and requires a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality. You will support recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, workforce compliance and employee lifecycle activities while helping ensure our people systems and processes run smoothly.

The role is offered at 22.8 hours per week, with flexibility to work across either three or four days.

Key Responsibilities
