Job summary

SACARE|ONCALL in Melbourne is seeking a proactive People & Culture Advisor to provide generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle, partnering with managers and staff to deliver practical HR solutions and ensure compliance with employment laws and policies.

Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Advisor, you will contribute to employee relations, recruitment, performance management, workforce planning, and continuous improvement while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture role.
• Knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, and lifecycle processes.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-focused environments.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience maintaining HR systems and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely HR advice to managers and employees.
• Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
• Coordinate probation reviews and support performance development processes.
• Maintain accurate HR records, systems, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct audits of HR records to ensure quality and compliance standards.
• Assist with recruitment activities and workforce planning initiatives when required.
• Support managers with interpretation and application of employment conditions, policies, and procedures.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
