Job summary

SACARE|ONCALL in Melbourne is seeking a proactive People & Culture Advisor to provide generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle, partnering with managers and staff to deliver practical HR solutions and ensure compliance with employment laws and policies.

Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Advisor, you will contribute to employee relations, recruitment, performance management, workforce planning, and continuous improvement while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture role.
• Knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, and lifecycle processes.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-focused environments.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• Experience maintaining HR systems and databases.

Responsibilities

About the Role

• Coordinate probation reviews and support performance development processes.

• Assist with recruitment activities and workforce planning initiatives when required.
• Support managers with the interpretation and application of employment conditions, policies, and procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture role.
• Strong knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, and employment lifecycle processes.
• Experience working within a regulated or compliance-focused environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• A collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience maintaining HR systems and databases.

Highly Regarded

• Experience within the disability, community services, healthcare, or not-for-profit sector.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted Driver's Licence.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Working With Children Check.
• Ability to travel as required.
