Job summary

SACARE|ONCALL is seeking a proactive People & Culture Advisor to support leaders and employees across the employment lifecycle, delivering practical people solutions while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and policies. Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Advisor, you will work across recruitment, performance, workforce planning and employee relations in Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture role.
• Strong knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, and employment lifecycle processes.
• Experience working within a regulated or compliance-focused environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• A collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience maintaining HR systems and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate HR advice and support to managers and employees.
• Assist with employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
• Coordinate probation reviews and support performance development processes.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct audits of employee files and HR records to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
• Assist with recruitment activities and workforce planning initiatives when required.
• Support managers with the interpretation and application of employment conditions, policies, and procedures.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry representatives.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
