Ballarat Community Health is seeking a People and Culture Administrator to manage daily HR administration and payroll backing. The role supports recruitment, onboarding, contracts and employee records, acting as a first point of contact for staff and managers.
You’ll work across P&C tasks, ensuring accurate, timely processes and confidential handling of information, with opportunities to contribute to improvement projects and salary packaging benefits.
There are around 300 people working at BCH, and behind every new starter, contract change, compliance check and pay cycle is administration work that needs to happen.
That's where you come in.
As our People and Culture Administrator, you'll be right in the middle of it. You might start your morning checking the P&C inbox and helping a manager work out what they need. Then it's onto a new starter whose paperwork needs checking, a contract that needs preparing and employee records to update. Later, you're running a compliance report, following up something that's outstanding or helping the team with recruitment.
You’ll be one of the first points of contact for employees and managers, while keeping the administration behind the scenes accurate, organised and moving.
You’ll work across the day-to-day administration of People & Culture, including:
This is an ongoing role with the option to work full-time or 0.8 FTE, based at our Lucas site.
You’ll have access to salary packaging, professional development and an ADO arrangement if you work full-time, while building practical People & Culture experience across a broad range of HR administration.
At Ballarat Community Health, we’re here to support people in our community - whether that’s helping someone stay independent, supporting them through a difficult time or making it easier to get the care they need.
We’re a not-for-profit community health organization with around 300 people working across six locations in Ballarat and the Western Region. For more than 45 years, we’ve been part of this community.
For our P&C team, that means making sure the people doing that work have the employment processes, information and support behind them to do their jobs well.
