Job summary

splose is seeking a People & Capability Advisor to provide hands-on HR support across the employee lifecycle, collaborating with the HRBP on policy, compliance and people initiatives. You will help managers with performance matters and support ER/IR processes as the team scales.

This role focuses on onboarding, offboarding, L&D coordination, recruitment support, and process improvement, with opportunities to drive AI-assisted improvements and grow with a fast-growing SaaS business in Australia.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
• Solid grasp of the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
• Exposure to ER/IR matters such as grievances, investigations or misconduct processes.
• Track record of supporting managers through performance management and PIPs.
• Hands-on involvement in coordinating L&D or manager capability initiatives.
• Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, the NES and Modern Awards.
• Accurate record keeping and a strong handle on people processes.
• Sound judgement and the confidence to know when to scale.
• Clear plain-language communication, both written and verbal.
• Discretion, empathy and composure in difficult conversations.
• A coaching mindset that builds manager capability.
• Comfort working at pace and juggling a busy queue alongside complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage the P&C operational queue across queries, leave, contracts and HRIS in Rippling.
• Onboard new hires, probation, employment changes, parental leave and offboarding.
• Support recruitment with offers, contracts and pre-employment checks.
• Assist managers with performance issues and PIPs with documentation.
• Be first point of contact for policy and entitlements; assist with manager training.
• Support ER/IR matters, grievances and confidential case records.
• Coordinate L&D programs and reimbursement tracking.
• Coordinate mid-year and year-end reviews and engagement surveys.
• Review policies, award coverage and entitlements in standard cases.
• Coordinate WHS processes and incident reporting; support return-to-work plans.
