Job summary

Andrews Meat Industries is seeking an experienced People & Performance Business Partner to partner with operational leaders and drive people strategy across workforce planning, relations, and development. You will provide strategic and hands-on HR support to build leadership capability and foster a positive workplace culture.

The role focuses on performance management, engagement, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, reporting to the Head of People & Performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in HR, Business or related discipline preferred.
• 3+ years' experience as HR Business Partner or strategic HR role.
• Strong employee and industrial relations experience, including legislation and award interpretation.
• Experience in a complex, fast-paced operational environment, ideally manufacturing/food/logistics.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coaching skills.
• Solutions-focused with ability to influence and drive outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of People & Performance, you will partner with operational leaders to provide strategic and hands‑on HR support across workforce planning, employee and industrial relations, talent acquisition, performance management, engagement, and organisational development. This role is critical in supporting business growth, building leadership capability, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to align people initiatives with business objectives and operational outcomes.
• Provide coaching and support on performance management, employee relations, leadership development, and workforce planning.
• Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and compliance requirements.
• Support award interpretation for key stakeholders.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for key positions and support talent development and succession planning.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
• Partner with operational teams to support workplace health, safety, and wellbeing outcomes.
• Use people data and insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

About you

• A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).
• 3+ years' experience in a HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role.
• Strong employee and industrial relations experience, including employment legislation and award interpretation.
• Experience working in a complex, fast-paced operational environment, ideally within manufacturing, food production, logistics, or a similar industry.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coaching skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
