Job summary

JBS Australia in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a People and Performance Business Partner to drive people strategy, workforce capability and organisational performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Head of People & Performance, you will partner with operational leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, engagement and development to build leadership capability and a positive culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role.
• Strong employee and industrial relations experience, including employment legislation and award interpretation.
• Experience in a complex, fast-paced operational environment, ideally within manufacturing or food production.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coaching skills.
• Solutions-focused with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to align people initiatives with business objectives and operational outcomes.
• Provide coaching and support on performance management, employee relations, leadership development, and workforce planning.
• Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and compliance requirements.
• Support award interpretation for key stakeholders.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for key positions and support talent development and succession planning.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive, high‑performing workplace culture.
• Partner with operational teams to support workplace health, safety, and wellbeing outcomes.
• Use people data and insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

We are seeking an experienced People & Performance Business Partner to join our team and play a key role in driving people strategy, workforce capability, and organisational performance.

Reporting to the Head of People & Performance, you will partner with operational leaders to provide strategic and hands‑on HR support across workforce planning, employee and industrial relations, talent acquisition, performance management, engagement, and organisational development. This role is critical in supporting business growth, building leadership capability, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

• A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).
• 3+ years' experience in a HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role.
• Strong employee and industrial relations experience, including employment legislation and award interpretation.
• Experience working in a complex, fast‑paced operational environment, ideally within manufacturing, food production, logistics, or a similar industry.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coaching skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
