Job summary

Randstad is urgently seeking a VPS4-level People Advisor, Workforce Transformation in Melbourne, VIC, to lead hands-on HR support for major organizational change and workforce transition programs.

You will work closely with leaders, employees, and project teams to coordinate consultation, redeployment, and separation processes, ensuring accurate, compassionate outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consultation processes and respond to employee inquiries; track outcomes and maintain data integrity.

• Administer separation workflows, approvals coordination, and payroll liaison for Applicant and Immediate Separation Packages.
• Support leaders and employees through sensitive grievances or workplace concerns; document and escalate appropriately.
• Assist with restructure-related recruitment and prepare workforce reports, dashboards, and governance updates.

About The Role

We are URGENTLY seeking experienced HR professionals to join a dynamic Workforce Transformation team on a labour hire contract running through March 2027.

As a People Advisor, Workforce Transformation, you will provide hands‑on HR support for major organizational change and workforce transition programs. Working closely with leaders, employees, and broader project teams, you will coordinate key change activities—including consultation, redeployment, employee transitions, separation processes, and restructure‑related recruitment—ensuring outcomes are delivered efficiently, accurately, and compassionately.

This is a fast‑paced, high‑impact role suited to an organized HR professional who excels at navigating complex and sensitive employee matters while maintaining high standards of detail and record‑keeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Change & Consultation: Coordinate consultation processes, manage employee inquiries, track outcomes, and maintain accurate impact data and employee correspondence.
• Transition & Redeployment: Oversee redeployment and transition case records, track individual progress, and liaise with payroll and HR teams to support seamless execution.
• Separation Management: Administer Applicant Separation Package and Immediate Separation Package workflows, including application tracking, approvals coordination, and payroll liaison.
• Employee Relations & Grievances: Support leaders and employees through sensitive matters, triage and document change‑related grievances or workplace concerns, and elevate appropriately.
• Recruitment & Reporting: Support restructure‑related recruitment (shortlisting and administration) and prepare accurate workforce reports, dashboards, and governance updates.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• HR & Change Experience: Practical experience in HR, employee relations, organizational change, or workforce transformation.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and support leaders and staff through sensitive change.
• Operational Precision: Exceptional organizational, administrative, and record‑keeping skills with strict attention to detail.
• Tech Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including confident use of AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot) to work efficiently and produce quality outputs.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in redeployment, complex consultation, interpreting Enterprise Agreements, or prior exposure to the Victorian Public Service (VPS) will be highly regarded.
