Job summary

AMA Group is seeking a People Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave contract based at Smithfield, NSW. The role focuses on partnering with leaders, providing practical people advice, and working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Ideal for an HR professional with experience in advisory roles who can navigate employee relations, policy guidance and lifecycle HR processes. This is a great chance to contribute to the EVP while supporting organisational change and culture

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources, People & Culture or similar advisory role.
• A degree in Human Resources or a related field is desirable but not essential.
• Strong understanding of HR business partnering and ability to work across a multi-site environment.
• Knowledge of Employment Law, Awards, National Employment Standards and Fair Work Act.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to build relationships with leaders at all levels.
• Practical, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business unit senior leaders to deliver the People Strategy and support the business unit people plan.
• Provide coaching and advice to leaders to build people leadership capability.
• Identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement as part of Building Better program.
• Manage and support complex employee relations matters with practical approaches.
• Support key lifecycle processes: performance, development, salary reviews, talent management and succession planning.
• Support organisational change, workforce planning and culture initiatives.
