Qualifications

• Trade qualification in automotive mechanics is required.
• Experience as a mechanic or fitter, preferably with PDI.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical and diagnostic systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on vehicles, identifying mechanical, electrical, or cosmetic issues.
• Perform diagnostic testing to assess vehicle systems and components.
• Execute mechanical adjustments, repairs, and replacements as required to rectify PDI findings.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks including fluid checks, filter replacements, and system calibrations.
• Document inspection findings and work completed using detailed service records and reports.
• Ensure work complies with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Liaise with supervisors and team members about significant vehicle issues or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following health and safety protocols.
• Test repaired vehicles to ensure issues are resolved and systems function correctly.
