As a PDI Mechanic/Fitter, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive mechanical inspections, diagnostics, and adjustments to guarantee vehicle quality, safety, and performance. Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on vehicles, identifying any mechanical, electrical, or cosmetic issues
• Perform diagnostic testing using specialised equipment to assess vehicle systems and components
• Execute mechanical adjustments, repairs, and replacements as required to rectify PDI findings

What we’re looking for

• Trade qualification or substantial formal training in automotive mechanics, fitting, or a related automotive discipline
• Proven experience as a mechanic or fitter, preferably with experience in PDI work or new vehicle preparation
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic systems
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, multimeters, and specialised automotive tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
• Knowledge of relevant automotive safety standards and compliance regulations
