Job summary

EMD Motor Sport Pty Ltd in Caringbah, NSW is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our automotive team. This full-time role involves delivering high-quality mechanical services, diagnostics, and repairs to customer vehicles in a professional workshop.

You will work with advanced diagnostic equipment, read technical manuals, and help maintain safety and service records. A recognised trade qualification and motor sport experience are preferred; first aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Recognised automotive trade qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in automotive mechanical repairs, diagnostics and servicing.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and mechanical tools.
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems and suspension.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and service manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Current First Aid certification is highly desirable.
• Experience in motor sport environment or performance vehicle servicing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of mechanical repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine diagnostics, servicing, and component replacement
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and determine the most appropriate repair solutions
• Use diagnostic equipment and testing tools to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems efficiently
• Follow technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines to ensure repairs are completed to the highest standard
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair requirements, timelines, and costs
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
• Stay current with automotive industry developments and new technologies
