Job summary

Altrad is seeking an experienced payroll professional for a 3–4 month fixed-term role in Subiaco to migrate payroll into Definitiv and transition from monthly to fortnightly pay cycles. You will work hands-on to configure systems, interpret awards, and process pays when required, partnering with Payroll, HR, Finance and Operations to ensure seamless operations.

The role emphasizes delivering a thorough handover, supporting payroll during the transition, and assisting audits and process

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll within a medium to large organisation.
• Demonstrated experience processing complex payrolls across multiple legal entities or Enterprise Agreements.
• Proven experience supporting payroll audits and compliance activities.
• Definitiv experience is highly regarded; otherwise strong payroll analyst experience is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end migration of payroll into Definitiv.
• Configure systems, interpret awards, and process pays as needed.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Finance and Operations to ensure system knowledge and processes are understood.
• Support communications to impacted employees regarding payroll changes and assist in broader change management.
• Deliver thorough handover to payroll teams on project completion and ensure system configuration is understood.
• Support payroll processing during transition to avoid pay impacts.
• Assist payroll audits and compliance activities during integration.
• Provide input on payroll process improvements identified during the transition.
