Job summary

Category 5 Labour Management in Milton, QLD, is seeking a Payroll Project Specialist for a 3-month casual assignment with potential extension. The role covers payroll operations across multi-site environments, with a Monday to Friday in-office schedule and a 38-hour week.

You will contribute to rolling out payroll software, manage data migration, ensure compliance and build efficient processes while engaging with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a large multi-site and multi agreement payroll environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various levels within the organisation
• Strong understanding of payroll operations, legislation, compliance and governance.
• Experience across HRIS/payroll systems analysis, business process improvement and project delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities within a complex operational environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
• Payroll systems knowledge such as Preceda, Kronos preferred

Responsibilities

• Contribute to maintaining a respectful workplace for all employees
• Maintain a high customer service focus with both internal and external stakeholders
• Support the rollout, and testing of new payroll software
• Assist in data migration, validation, and go-live activitiesProvide support on payroll project delivery
• Identify inefficiencies, document standard operating procedures, and standardise workflows across Payroll platform
• Ensure compliance industrial instruments and relevant payroll legislation
• Continually review and recommend processes automations to increase efficiencies
• Be the change champion
