Job summary

Scotford Fennessy is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join its global shared services, based at Perth International Airport. You will oversee payroll across five Australian entities with weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles, guiding three onshore Payroll Officers and supporting two offshore officers.

The role combines day-to-day processing with remediation, improvements and systems integration, with potential to develop broader payroll leadership as the function consolidates onto ADP Payforce.

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end Australian payroll experience with compliance and reconciliations.
• Experience interpreting awards and enterprise agreements across complex workforces.
• Previous responsibility for guiding payroll staff and resolving escalations.
• Ability to investigate issues independently and implement practical solutions.
• Willingness to stay hands-on while expanding payroll delivery scope.
• Excellent communication across locations and stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely payroll across multiple entities and pay cycles.
• Supervise, train and support onshore payroll team and provide guidance to offshore staff.
• Interpret awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditions.
• Oversee payroll tax, PAYG and superannuation obligations.
• Manage month-end and year-end reporting and reconciliations.
• Contribute to payroll systems integration and consolidation.
• Provide hands-on processing support during peak workloads and leave periods.
