Job summary

Davidson is seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor/ Specialist with a strong focus on systems to join the People and Payroll function in Australia. The role blends payroll expertise with system configuration, testing and continuous improvement.

You will work with Payroll, IT and HR teams to support daily payroll operations, investigate queries, assist with changes, and contribute to upgrades, testing and documentation. A solid understanding of Australian awards and superannuation is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Australian payroll processes.
• Ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Familiarity with Chris21/iChris or similar payroll platforms.
• Experience in payroll system administration or configuration.
• Experience supporting testing, upgrades or system changes.
• Strong understanding of leave, superannuation and payroll calculations.
• Analytical problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration.

About the Role

This role would suit an experienced Payroll Advisor, Payroll Specialist or Payroll Systems professional looking to combine their payroll knowledge with systems support and continuous improvement.

Working closely with the broader Payroll and IT teams, you will help support the day-to-day operation of payroll systems, investigate payroll and system queries, assist with configuration changes and contribute to testing, upgrades and system improvements.

Key responsibilities will include:

About You

You will be an experienced payroll professional with strong knowledge of Australian payroll processes and an interest or experience in payroll systems. You don't necessarily need to be a dedicated systems specialist, but you should be comfortable investigating issues, working with payroll technology and supporting system changes.

You will bring:

• Strong Australian payroll experience
• Experience interpreting Awards and/or Enterprise Agreements
• Exposure to Chris21/iChris or a similar payroll platform
• Some experience with payroll system administration or configuration
• Experience supporting testing, upgrades or system changes
• Strong understanding of leave, superannuation and payroll calculations
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confidence working with Payroll, HR, IT and business stakeholders
• An interest in developing further payroll systems expertise
