Job summary

Argon & Co is seeking a part-time payroll specialist to manage payroll across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. You will own the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and on-time payments while maintaining records and compliance.

There is scope to help improve payroll processes and systems. You’ll work with Finance and HR, handle confidential information, and operate in a flexible hybrid setup with around 40 hours a month.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience across APAC jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll requirements.
• Experience with NZ and/or Singapore payroll is a plus.
• Accurate, deadline-driven and able to handle confidential data.

Responsibilities

• Manage six monthly payrolls across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
• Process starters, leavers, salary changes, leave, bonuses and other inputs.
• Complete payroll checks and reconciliations.
• Ensure payroll compliance and statutory requirements are met.
• Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers.
• Collaborate with Finance and HR on reporting and process improvements.

About the role

This is a genuinely flexible part-time opportunity of ~40 hours a month, where you'll manage payroll across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore while working closely with our Finance and HR teams.

You’ll have ownership of the monthly payroll process, making sure our people are paid accurately and on time, payroll obligations are met and records are maintained correctly.

There is also an opportunity to help improve our payroll processes and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Managing six monthly payrolls across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore
• Processing starters, leavers, salary changes, leave, bonuses and other payroll inputs
• Completing payroll checks and reconciliations
• Managing payroll compliance and statutory requirements
• Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers
• Working with Finance and HR on payroll reporting and improvements

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has solid end-to-end payroll experience
• Has strong Australian payroll knowledge
• Ideally has experience with New Zealand and/or Singapore payroll
• Is highly accurate and comfortable working to payroll deadlines
• Can work independently and manage confidential information
• Is confident using payroll systems and picking up new systems quickly
