Job summary

The Catholic Archdiocese of Perth is seeking an experienced Specialist, Payroll to lead payroll operations across the organisation. You will advise employees and managers on complex payroll matters, ensure compliance with Western Australian Awards and legislation, and support timely and accurate payroll services.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing and administration.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance requirements, and employee entitlements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience interpreting Awards and resolving payroll-related enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for employees, parish workers and clergy.
• Ensure compliance with Western Australian Awards, payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Provide expert advice on payroll matters, Award interpretation and complex employee entitlements.
• Supervise and support payroll team members while maintaining efficient payroll operations and service delivery.
• Manage payroll systems, reporting and records, while identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure all payroll reporting obligations are completed accurately and on time.
