Job summary

St John of God Health Care in Perth seeks an experienced Payroll Officer to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery for caregivers. You will maintain payroll master data, process fortnightly payroll and support Tier 2 inquiries while upholding compliance with EBA, Awards, NES and related legislation.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position (38 hours/week) with a competitive salary, 12% superannuation, and salary packaging benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll administration.
• Interpret and apply industrial awards, enterprise agreements and related legislation.
• Experience with payroll systems such as aPay, UKG or Workday.
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply EBA, Award, NES and payroll legislation to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Maintain and administer payroll master data accurately; resolve discrepancies.
• Process payroll transactions across employee lifecycle ( commencements, changes, terminations).
• Manage leave accruals, superannuation, taxation and salary packaging.
• Review timesheets and code/process in compliance with payroll rules.
• Conduct payroll audits, compliance checks and resolve issues; support continuous improvements.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and manage Tier 2 payroll inquiries.
