Job summary

Adbri is seeking a Payroll Officer to join the Adelaide-based Payroll team and deliver accurate, timely payroll across our multi‑entity organisation. You’ll own allocated payroll cycles and gain exposure to weekly and fortnightly pay, plus a range of Awards and Enterprise Agreements.

You’ll manage weekly/fortnightly payroll from prep to pay day, handle employee changes, timesheets, attendances and payroll adjustments, respond to payroll queries, and reconcile payroll and superannuation where

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in an end-to-end Payroll Officer role.
• Experience processing payroll under Awards and/or Enterprise Agreements.
• Sound understanding of timesheets, time and attendance and payroll processes.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence with numbers.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience with Chris21 would be highly regarded.
• Strong communication skills and ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly and fortnightly payroll cycles from preparation through to pay day.
• Managing employee changes including new starters, bank accounts and superannuation details.
• Reviewing and processing timesheets, time and attendance information and payroll adjustments.
• Responding to payroll queries and providing timely support to employees and internal stakeholders.
• Completing payroll and superannuation reconciliations as required.
• Maintaining accurate employee payroll information and records.
• Working closely with the wider Payroll team to meet critical payroll deadlines.
• Adapting to changing priorities and supporting different payroll cycles as required.
