Randstad in North Ryde-NSW is partnering with a national leader to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer. The role covers end-to-end payroll for large multi-site populations with weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles, including complex terminations and transfers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Chris21/iChris expertise, strong Australian payroll knowledge, and the ability to apply Enterprise Agreements and Awards. Hybrid work and parking are offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, full-function payroll processing in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
• Experience with high-volume payrolls (2,000+ employees).
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and tax.
• Ability to interpret multi-site Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing for high-volume employee populations across weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay cycles.
• Maintain accurate Masterfile records, processing starters, transfers, position changes and complex terminations.
• Import and validate time and attendance data from timekeeping systems into Chris21.
• Apply Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards to calculate wages, allowances and penalties.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager queries with high service standards.

We are partnering with a multi-site national leader known for providing essential infrastructure solutions nationwide, their corporate head office in North Ryde is seeking an experienced, proactive Payroll Officer to join their high-performing national payroll team.

This position is ideal for a confident payroll professional with strong systems knowledge in Chris21 and multiple Enterprise agreement exposure.

You'll:

Manage end-to-end processing for high-volume employee populations across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay cycles.

Maintain accurate employee Masterfile records, processing new starters, organisational transfers, position changes, and complex termination reconciliations.

Import, audit, and validate time and attendance data from timekeeping systems into Chris21.

Interpret and apply diverse, multi-site Enterprise Agreements (EAs) and Modern Awards to ensure accurate wage calculations, allowances, and penalty rates.

Serve as an approachable first point of contact for employee and manager queries, resolving issues promptly with high customer service standards.

What we are looking for

Proven experience in a hands-on, full-function payroll processing experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Demonstrated capability handling high-volume payrolls (company sizes 2000+).

Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, tax, and complex Enterprise Agreements.

Exceptional attention to detail, strong data management skills, and clear verbal and written communication.
