Job summary

Professional Search Group is seeking an experienced payroll professional in Australia to manage end-to-end payroll processing for about 2,200 employees. The role requires strong knowledge of Australian payroll laws and proficiency in MicrOpay and Excel, with ongoing collaboration with employees, managers and external stakeholders.

About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies. You will work closely with employees, managers, and external stakeholders to provide exceptional payroll support.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payroll for approx 2200 employees
• Calculate wages, salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, and leave entitlements
• Manage payroll-related queries from employees and managers
• Process superannuation, payroll tax, and other statutory payments
• Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end reporting

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Previous experience processing high volume, end-to-end payroll
• Proficiency with MicrOpay and Microsoft Excel is essential
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
