Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced payroll professional to own the end-to-end payroll function for 150+ employees across multiple sites in Melbourne. You will ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing and provide support to broader finance operations.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will handle weekly and monthly payroll, year-end processes and payroll system integrations, while maintaining high levels of confidentiality and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience processing end-to-end payroll.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting broader finance functions, ideally including Accounts Payable.
• Excellent attention to detail and reconciliation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High levels of integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines.
• Experience with MYOB Advanced (Acumatica) will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payroll for 150+ employees.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards, STP2 reporting and statutory obligations.
• Process new starters, employee changes, terminations, ETPs and back pays.
• Manage leave entitlements, salary sacrifice, child support and employee loan deductions.
• Act as the key point of contact for payroll-related queries.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, payroll tax, superannuation and month-end requirements.
• Coordinate year-end payroll processing and reporting.
• Manage payroll records, employee files and inboxes.
• Support the implementation of MYOB Workforce Management module and integration with payroll.

This is a hands-on position that will see you take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function while providing broader support across finance operations.
