We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Payroll Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build or further develop their payroll career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Process employee commencements, salary changes, and terminations.
  • Assist with the administration of leave entitlements, superannuation, and payroll deductions.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and managers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, taxation requirements, and company policies.
About You
  • Previous administration, payroll, or finance experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the payroll profession.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience using payroll systems such as ADP (desired but not essential)
  • Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and employment conditions (advantageous).
