Job summary

Our Lady of Consolation Aged Care & Services in Rooty Hill, NSW, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage end-to-end payroll for 500 staff across a not-for-profit aged care employer.

Working with the Finance Manager, you will ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with the Aged Care & Nursing Award and statutory requirements, and deliver reliable reporting and records management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a payroll position.
• Experience in standalone end-to-end payroll function.
• Experience processing payroll in aged care is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and high attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process fortnightly payroll for 500 staff.
• Interpret Aged Care & Nursing Award and Home & Community Service Award.
• Monitor payroll spend and maintain reporting systems.
• Manage statutory requirements including STP, Super, Salary Sacrifice, PAYG and Workers' Compensation.
• Handle staff enquiries and maintain employment records.
• Process variation, leave forms and termination entitlements.
• Maintain payroll filing system and system upgrades.
• End-of-financial-year reconciliation and ATO payment summaries.

Our Lady of Consolation Aged Care & Services – Rooty Hill NSW

Our Lady of Consolation Aged Care & Services is a proud and independent Not-For-Profit organisation housing up to 280 elderly residents based in Rooty Hill in Sydney's Western Suburbs. We also provide home care services to up to 2000 elderly clients across the Sydney Metro Region, enabling them to remain in their own homes for longer. Our focus is on helping the elderly to be as active and able as they can be, regardless of their underlying health conditions. The Role

Working as part of a motivated and energetic team this role will give you the opportunity to manage the end-to-end payroll function for a not-for-profit aged care organisation located in Rooty Hill, in western Sydney. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you're duties and responsibilities will be:

Key Responsibilities

• Processing the fortnightly payroll for 500 staff on fortnightly basis;
• Interpret the industry award/ Enterprise Agreement, including Aged Care & Nursing Award and Home & Community Service Award;
• Monitoring & reporting payroll spend and maintaining strong reporting systems;
• Managing all statutory requirements such as Single Touch Payroll, Pay Day Super, Salary Sacrifice, PAYG and Workers Compensation;
• Managing enquiries, concerns and requests for information from staff
• Ensuring accuracy of employment records and personnel files
• Process all personnel variation forms/ leave forms
• Process termination entitlements
• Manage the filing system
• Maintain the payroll system upgrades
• End of financial year reconciliation, health check, ATO payment summary

To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced senior payroll person , who can demonstrate experience in a standalone, end to end payroll function. A working knowledge of PayGlobal would be an advantage.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Minimum 3 years experience in a payroll position is required
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• High attention to detail and a professional working manner
• Able to meet the deadline is essential
• Microsoft Word and Excel (V lookup, Pivot Table) knowledge is essential
• Experience processing payroll within an aged care environment would be highly regarded
