Job summary

Connected People is seeking a Newcastle-based Payroll Officer to support the aged care division in payroll processing and data entry. The role reports to the Payroll Team Leader and Senior Payroll Officer and offers two days of remote work from Newcastle.

Contract until July 2027, with potential opportunities after this period. You will handle high-volume payroll data entry, use Preceda and MS Office tools, and ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all tasks.

Qualifications

• High proficiency in payroll data entry in a high transaction volume environment.
• Competence with payroll systems and processes relevant to payroll.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge and application of confidentiality principles.
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-reliant with initiative and minimal supervision.
• Experience with multiple awards and enterprise agreements.

Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader and Senior Payroll Officer, the Payroll Officer is responsible for the provision of accurate data entry and effective payroll customer service to all internal and external customers and stakeholders

Newcastle based, 2 days WFH, Contract until July 2027 - possible opportunities after this point

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

• High proficiency in payroll data entry, including experience working in a high transaction volume environment
• Demonstrated competence with payroll systems and processes relevant to payroll
• Sound proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of confidentiality principles
• Demonstrated time management skills and an ability to prioritise tasks
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to carry out duties in a timely and efficient manner with the capacity to be self-reliant and exercise initiative with minimum supervision
• Experience with multiple awards and enterprise agreements
