Independent Living Specialists (ILS) is a leading Australian healthcare equipment provider with 60 showrooms and 650 staff. Based in Lane Cove West NSW, we are seeking a Permanent Full-time Payroll Officer to work with the Finance team, processing end-to-end payroll in ADP Payforce and supporting time and attendance systems.

You will ensure compliance with awards and legislation, handle queries from employees and managers, and contribute to month-end and year-end reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll.
• Experience with ADP Payforce and Realtime essential.
• Understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and superannuation obligations.
• Strong numerical skills and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll in ADP Payforce for fortnightly and monthly pay cycles.
• Administer ADP Realtime for rostering and time & attendance.
• Accurately calculate and process termination payments, redundancies, bonuses, and back-pays.
• Prepare and process workers' compensation payments.
• Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and Managers.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, EBAs, awards, and internal policies.
• Prepare payroll reports and contribute to Month-End/Year-End reconciliations.
• Perform payroll checks and maintain data integrity.

We have a role available for a Permanent Full-time Payroll Officer to join our Finance team. Based in Lane Cove, you will work alongside the Payroll Manager to process end-to-end payroll operations using ADP Payforce, support time and attendance systems, and become a trusted go-to partner for payroll matters across the business. About the Role

The Payroll Officer is responsible for the timely and accurate payment of employee salaries and wages in accordance with relevant legislation, awards, agreements, and internal policies. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes using ADP, supporting time and attendance systems, and being a trusted partner to both employees and management on payroll-related matters.

Core Responsibilities include:

• Process end-to-end payroll in ADP Payforce, including timesheets, leave, superannuation, and tax for fortnightly and monthly pay cycles.
• Administer ADP Realtime for rostering and time & attendance.
• Accurately calculate and process termination payments, redundancies, bonuses, and back-pays.
• Prepare and process workers' compensation payments.
• Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and Managers.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, EBAs, awards, and internal policies.

About You

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing (ADP Payforce/Realtime experience essential)
• Solid understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and superannuation obligations
• High attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, customer-focused approach
• Confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong numerical and reconciliation skills, confident with manual calculations
• Adaptable and flexible with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion in handling sensitive information
