Job summary

GenesisCare Chermside in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Officer) to be the first point of contact for patients throughout their cancer treatment journey. This busy, on-site role requires organisation, empathy and excellence in customer service.

You will coordinate appointments, manage billing and receipting, perform data entry and maintain confidential patient records, while supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic and collaborating with the

• Previous experience in medical reception, healthcare administration or customer service.
• Ability to deliver outstanding patient care with empathy.
• Excellent communication and ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and strong computer/administrative skills.
• Professional phone manner with high-volume enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients, in person and over the phone.

GenesisCare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Officer) to join our welcoming team at our Chermside Radiation Oncology Centre in Brisbane.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in supporting them throughout their cancer treatment journey. This is a busy, fast-paced role where no two days are the same.

On offer is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

More Specifically, You Will

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced administrative environment while delivering exceptional patient care.
• Be the first point of contact for patients, providing outstanding service both in person and over the phone.
• Manage a busy workload and adapt to changing priorities throughout the day.
