Fresenius Medical Care on the Gold Coast is seeking a dedicated Patient Service Assistant to provide high quality reception and secretarial support to patients and staff. The role includes non-clinical duties, assisting nursing staff and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the dialysis clinic.

You will handle switchboard inquiries, liaise with patients and families, and participate in billing, stock ordering, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling patient data.
• Knowledge of infection control and hygiene principles applied daily.
• Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety within a healthcare setting.
• Experience with basic food preparation and presentation in a clinical environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and general clerical tasks.

Responsabilités

• Answer the switchboard in a courteous and professional manner.
• Liaise with patients and families with compassionate communication.
• Perform general clerical tasks: filing, minutes, agendas.
• Manage petty cash and supplier stock levels.
• Support quality improvement activities for the clinic.
• Assist with patient admission/discharge and billing-related documentation.
