About The Role

Austin Health, the major tertiary health service for Melbourne’s north-east, is looking for an experienced manager to lead its Patient Revenue Services team.

You’ll be responsible for the election of private and compensable patients, patient billing, receipting and debt management. The team sits within the Finance Division at the Austin campus in Heidelberg, with some functions shared across the Austin, Royal Talbot and Repatriation campuses.

This role combines financial leadership and strong governance with a real focus on the patient experience. You’ll also help find process and system improvements that keep financial controls robust across the organisation.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the Revenue teams day to day, and lead their customer service function.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to report accurately on department performance.


• The ability to build knowledge in election, billing and debt management, and to advise internal and external customers.


• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
